DIRT TRACK STOCK CAR RACING RAINED OUT AT EAST WINDSOR SPEEDWAY FRIDAY (MAY
18) - "RUN WHAT YA BRUNG" ACTION SET FOR ALL CLASSES ON MAY 25

EAST WINDSOR, N.J. ~ After getting four events in the 2001 record books, the
East Windsor Speedway suffered its first postponement of the 2001 racing
season when bad weather stopped the racing scheduled for Friday night (May
18) at 7:30 p.m. That program, the annual "Bill Nichols Memorial" event, will
be reset for later in the season.

Action will be wide open when the famed half mile clay oval presents its
first "Run What Ya Brung" racing program when action resumes this Friday
evening, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. Simply put, invaders from any speedway will be
welcome to bring their cars to the speedway for competition in the Modified,
Sportsman and Street Stock classes as long as they are equipped with tires
legal for competition at the speedway. Mufflers are also a must. More
information can be obtained by calling either 609-448-8510 or 732-521-0910.

Doug Hoffman of Allentown, Pa., Jimmy Horton of Whitehouse Station and
Kenny Brightbill of Sinking Spring, Pa., all feature winners already this
season, will be trying to add to their win totals on Friday night. Still,
there are many other candidates for glory including Billy Pauch of
Frenchtown, Wade Hendrickson of Lawrenceville, Fred Dmuchowski of Neshanic
Station, Eddie Bohn of Freehold plus the host of invaders expected. The
Modifieds battle in a 25-lap feature.

The Sportsman division will return for a 20-lap main event, with
defending champ Ryan Godown of Ringoes is always a threat. Defending champ Al
Cheney of Cranbury will be a favorite in the night's Street Stock 15-lapper.
Again, all are welcome to enter this "Run What Ya Brung" competition in both
divisions.

Weekly Friday night dirt track action is slated to continue through
September.

Located just minutes from Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike on Airport
Road, the East Windsor Speedway is easy to get to from anywhere. For more
information call the speedway hotline at 609-448-8510 or visit the website at www.ewspeedway.com.
