HAGERSTOWN, MD. The Pennzoil World of Outlaws eastern swing will once
again make a stop at the Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday night, May
19th. Joining the World of Outlaw sprints in the double-header program
will be the ITSI super late models. Race time is 8 P.M. with gates
opening at 5 P.M.

Danny Lasoski sits on top of the outlaw standings after 14 events and
hopes that he will win his third "A" main feature of the year by
duplicating his win at Hagerstown two years ago. Lasoski is off to a
good start in 2001 and has finished in the top ten in 13 of 14 events so
far this year.

Only 11 points behind Lasoski is Mark Kinser who leads all Outlaw
drivers with 5 feature wins. Mark holds the one-lap track record of
14.945 seconds which he set on July 31st, 1999. Craig Dollansky sits in
third place in points and has one "A" feature win so far this year.

Forth in points is Defending Pennzoil World of Outlaws Champion Steve
Kinser. The "King of the Outlaws" would like to end a dry spell at
Hagerstown that dates back to May 29th 1994. Kinser is off to a good
start in 2001 with two "A" feature wins and has finished in the top ten
in 13 of 14 events so far this year.

Joey Saldana and Brad Furr are next in points and are followed by two
hometown favorites Stevie Smith of New Oxford, PA and Jeff Shepard of
Upperco. Smith has picked up valuable points with wins at Hagerstown in
the past two years.

The late models will have a complete program of qualifying events and a
25-lap feature. The tight point race will have Roy Deese Jr., Nathan
Durboraw, Andy Fries, Charlie Schaffer and a host of other drivers
battle it out for the $8,000 championship payoff.
