Moss Brings Spring Green To New Egypt

New Egypt, NJ (Mar. 30) -- Spring is here -- finally! -- and racers and fans
will get a chance to pick some seasonal green on Saturday night, April 7,
when Moss Landscaping presents a unique Go for the Green! promotion at New
Egypt Speedway.

The Somerville, NJ, landscaper will set the speedway abloom that night, with
plenty of flowering plants to be given away in the grandstands -- and some
extra-special greenery for the racers, too. The top three finishers in all
three classes will receive a beautiful potted plant, courtesy of Moss
Landscaping. But there's a catch: of the three plants presented during each
victory lane ceremony, only one will be seeded with some extra green. Which
means, after a little digging, one of the top three in the Modified division
will be unearthing an envelope containing a $500 bonus buried somewhere
beneath the blossoms. The luckiest of the top-three Sportsman drivers will
pick a $300 posy, and the Street Stock driver who hits gold will pocket an
extra $150.

"It's my way of giving back to the sport, promoting my business, and having
a little fun in the process," said landscape contractor Steve Moss, who also
races a #87 Modified at New Egypt. Moss, who landscaped the speedway grounds
when the track first opened in 1998, has been at the helm of his Route 202
full-service landscape design and garden center since 1987.

In addition to all the green, Moss Landscaping will also give away a
brand-new bicycle (a green one, naturally!) to one lucky child on April 7.

Moss Landscaping Go for the Green! Night at New Egypt Speedway will kick off
at 5 pm, with big-block Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and the
Mid-State Communications Rookie Sportsman series on the jam-packed race
card. Gates open at 2 pm. Adult admission is $13, children 7-12 are $4 and
kids 6 and under are free. The speedway is located on Route 539, minutes
from Six Flags Great Adventure and the NJ Turnpike. For more information,
call the track office at (609) 758-1900.
