ATTICA RACEWAY PARK READY FOR OPENING; OTHER NEWS & NOTES
ATTICA, OH --- New owners Brad Cailor and Charlie Fisher will drop the green
flag on their rookie season as race track owners when Attica Raceway Park
presents it's ATTICA SPRING FEVER grand opening this Friday evening, March
30 with 410 Sprint Cars, 305 Sprint Cars and Limited Late Models. Presenting
the most aggressive and richest payoff in Attica Raceway Park history,
Cailor and Fisher will host a multitude of special events throughout the
2001 season to compliment Attica's strong weekly show.
In addition to the thrilling show that will be offered this Friday
evening, management has announced that TJ SLIDEWAYS website will be posting
live updates of the racing action Friday evening at: www.tjslideways.com.
Cailor, Fisher and former owner/promoter and current Race Director
Gene Frankart have been busy during the winter months with a wide variety of
capital improvement projects in preparation for the 2001 season, including
new clay, new lights, new paint throughout the facility, a new building for
corporate and fan gatherings, and many other improvements and additions.
Racing action will commence this Friday evening with hot laps
starting at 7:00 PM and racing promptly at 8:00 PM.
ATTICA RACEWAY PARK NEWS & NOTES:
IRA INVADES: On Friday and Saturday April 6 & 7 Attica Raceway Park will
host the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Sprints for two shows. On
Friday night the feature will pay $2,000 to win while Saturday's main event
offers $3,000 to win. Limited Lates will be on hand Friday while the 305
Sprints will support Saturday's show. ARP management reminds racers that the
IRA sanction have similar rules to the All Stars Sprints and cars must
weight 1200 lbs. IRA series rules are posted at: www.irasprints.com.
NEW FORMAT: The following weekend ARP will present their NEW FORMAT NIGHT #1
featuring their weekly line up of 410 Sprints, 305 Sprints and Limited Late
Models. It will also be D.A.R.F. Night and America Cancer Society "Smash
ALL STARS/ALMS / SARAH FISHER RETURN: The All Stars Circuit of Champions
Sprint Cars will return to Attica Raceway Park as the headliner of the
second day of the two day COORS SPRING NATIONALS. On Friday night April 20
the Sunoco ALMS Late Model Series will headline a $3,000 to win race with
the 410 Sprints also going for a $3,000 winner's purse. The following night,
Saturday April 21, night two of the COORS SPRING NATIONALS will feature the
ALL STAR SPRINTS in a $5,000 to win event with 305 Sprints and Limited Late
A special appearance by Indy Racing League (IRL) star SARAH FISHER will
highlight the evening, dubbed SARAH FISHER NIGHT. Miss Fisher will be on
hand during the evening and will participate in a special autograph session.

DAVE BLANEY OUTLAW DRIVING EXPERIENCE SLATED: Brad Cailor recently announced
that the DAVE BLANEY OUTLAW DRIVING EXPERIENCE will be at Attica Raceway
Park as part of the scheduled LOU BLANEY NIGHT which will be held in
conjunction with ARP's BRP BIG BLOCK MODIFIED special event that will be
held on Friday May 4. 410 Sprints will also be on the card. A special
showcase for the "Ride-A-Long" program Friday night will have Lou Blaney,
patriarch of the Blaney family, himself giving 100 MPH rides in the 800
horsepower, 2-seater Sprint Car. On Saturday from 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM ARP
will feature the OUTLAW DRIVING EXPERINCE school in which fans will have the
opportunity to drive an authentic, 800 horsepower 410 Sprint Car as fast as
they dare around Attica's ultra-fast clay. Ride-a-long's will also be
available. This will mark the school's first ever visit to Ohio. To enroll
