UDTRA OFFICIALS POSTPONE LEESVILLE, LA EVENT UNTIL A DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WOODSTOCK, GA - United Dirt Track Racing Association officials have
postponed the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series event scheduled for March 30 at The
New Leesville 171 Speedway for a date to be announced. UDTRA officials
determined that construction delays due to weather have left the track in
unfinished condition that is not satisfactory to host the UDTRA event.
"We like the vision of Leesville 171 Speedway owner Mike Hines and his
daughter promoter Malena Browning, and when they finish the track it will
a fine facility to host the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series," UDTRA President Mike
Swims said. "They want to do things right, but unfortunately, the weather
put them behind in their construction."
The event was originally scheduled for March 25, but over two inches of
rain fell on the speedway on March 24 leaving the spectator parking area
the pit area ankle deep in mud and forced postponement of the event to March
30. The March 24 weather event has led to even further delays that have
forced UDTRA officials to postpone the event at a date to be announced.
