TRI-CITY?S TEST AND TUNE FEATURES NO RACING THIS SUNDAY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FRANKLIN, PA ?. Sunday April 1 was supposed to feature the first on-track action of the 2001 season at Tri-City Speedway with a Test and Tune session for all race teams. Instead, Mother Nature fooled track officials with snow and rain over the last two weeks, and Tri-City Co-Promoters Mike Graham and Roger Crick were forced to cancel any racing on the half-mile Venango County oval.
?We hoped to get the track in shape for the practice session,? said Graham on Monday afternoon. ?The snow and rain stopped those efforts this month, and we cannot prepare the track properly. So, we will have to cancel this year?s Test and Tune.?
The Test and Tune will not be rescheduled.
Although engines may be silent in the pit area, there will be some action at the track. Bicknell Racing Products, Ray?s Racing Specialties and Lake Erie Speed Supply have scheduled a chassis and driving seminar for Titusville Motor & Auction Co. DIRT Modified racers. The seminar will be held in the vast tower at the track and commences at 10 a.m. For more information, please contact Josh Skarzenski at (814) 897-8606 or (814) 899-8067.
In addition to the seminar, track officials will be meeting throughout the day in order to prepare for the first event of the season on Sunday April 22, which features a full four-star racing slate of Allegheny Land and Lumber Co. Super Sprints, Titusville Motor & Auction Co. DIRT Modifieds, RE/MAX E Mods and E.F. Rogers Plumbing & Heating Stock Cars.
For more information, please contact the track office at (814) 473-4038.
