Champion Tire Wheels Out New Egypt Bonuses

New Egypt, NJ (Mar. 23) -- A pair of extra-buck nights for the racers and a
season-end bonanza for the fans at New Egypt Speedway are part of a generous
bonus program being introduced by Champion Tire of Ringoes, NJ, this season.

On both May 5 and July 28, Champion Tire President George Unfried will boost
the night's take with bonus bucks going to the top two in the Modified
division and the top three finishers in the Sportsman and Street Stock
classes. On May 5, one-two in the Mid-State Communications Rookie Sportsman
race will also collect the extra Champion Tire cash. A total of $2,000 in
racer bonuses will be distributed in victory lane on the two dates.

Race fans are also on the receiving end of Unfried's big bonus program.
Throughout the season, fans can enter their names in a drawing for Champion
Tire's end-of-year bonanza: a set of four street tires, up to a $500 value,
will be awarded to one lucky spectator. In addition, the Ringoes tire dealer
-- which stocks every brand of OEM tire on the market -- will be showering
the grandstands with regular giveaways, like logo T-shirts and hats.

"I enjoy myself so much at New Egypt," said Unfried, who also competes in
the Street Stock division at the central Jersey oval. "Business has been
good for me. So this is my way of giving back to the sport on a grassroots
level."

Starting out as a one-man shop in the late '70s, Champion Tire now has 15
employees and services car dealerships, gas stations and auto body shops, in
addition to retail customers, from its location on Old York Road.

Fans can enter to win the dealership's season-end street tire giveaway
starting Saturday, March 31, when New Egypt Speedway throws open the doors
on the 2001 racing season. Big-block Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and
Rookies are on the opening-day card, which kicks off at 5 pm. Gates open at
2 pm.

Don't miss the first night of competition on the newly-expanded raceway!
Adult admission is $13, children 7-12 are $4 and kids 6 and under are free.
