Hi everyone. Welcome to all the new members of the list. Hopefully
we are well on our way out of winter and looking towards spring! As
we move closer to the racing season we will be starting without one
of Stuart Speedways long time employees. Sharon, "The **** Lady",
has taken a job within her company, that takes her out of state.
Sharon has been scoring the last few years but ran the **** stand
before that. We wish her the best of luck. Dave Wilkinson's job
also prevents him from working on Sunday nights. Dave will still be
writing for Statefair Speedway and we will miss his stories
and "keeper of the facts" at Stuart.
And now some racing news from Mick:
"Turns one and two have been rebanked and new cement barriers have
been placed around the entire turn. With weather permitting we should
be able to get turn three reshaped. A new pit shack has been built,
and a bigger purse this year for all classes with $50 extra being
paid to the winner each night of a specific class. Also hobby stocks
will pay $150 to win the feature each night."
A reminder to the drivers to get their drivers sheets in with their
number fee soon. The price goes up March 15th.
