RACE CARS AND FANS JAM RACE-A-RAMA AT VALLEY MALL

HAGERSTOWN, MD - Despite the stormy weather, race cars and fans jammed
the Valley Mall over the weekend as the Hagerstown Speedway presented
its16th Annual Race-A-Rama to kick off the 2001 season. Fans packed the
mall during the three day show to checkout the cars and talk to the
drivers who will be competing at the half-mile oval.

On Friday night, eight-year-old Miss Lakyn Hose of Falling Waters, WV
was selected to be Little Miss Hagerstown Speedway for 2001. Danielle
Wissinger of Hagerstown was first runner-up and Ashley Null of
Waynesboro, PA placed third.

Several awards were presented on the final night of the show. Pete
Weaver of Williamsport received the Best All Around Award for his late
model sportsman and Mike Kershner of Hagerstown received Best Display of
the show for his 4-cyl pure stock.

Awards were presented to the top three cars in each division. Devin
Friese of Mercersburg, PA received the best appearing car in the late
models with Brent Smith of Mercersburg, PA second and Wesley Bonebrake
of Hagerstown next in voting.

Pete Weaver of Williamsport took top honors in the late model sportsman
division followed by Bob Friese of Chambersburg, PA and Mike Walls of
St. Thomas, PA.

Jim Snyder of Hagerstown was voted the best appearing car in the pure
stock division with Mike Warrenfeltz of Hagerstown runner-up. Brian
Miller of Hagerstown was third.

The top award in the 4-cyl pure stock division went to Mike Kershner of
Hagerstown. Robbie Holmes of Round Hill, VA and Randy Kline of
Hagerstown were runner-ups.

The Hagerstown Speedway would like to express their appreciation to the
drivers, car owners
and sponsors who helped to make the Race-A-Rama a success.

Hagerstown will begin its 54th year of racing on Sunday, March 4th with
the Grand Opening for ITSI late models, HOOSIER TIRE late model
sportsman, Ernie's Salvage Yard pure stocks and 4-cyl pure stocks. Race

LAKYN HOSE WINS LITTLE MISS HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY CONTEST

HAGERSTOWN, MD Miss Lakyn Hose of Falling Waters, WV was the star of the
annual Little Miss

Hagerstown Speedway Pageant at the 16th Annual Race-A-Rama in the Valley
Mall in Hagerstown on Friday

January 23rd.

The daughter of Steve and Shannon Hose, Lakyn is in the third grade at
Potomac Middle School .

In addition to auto racing, Lakyn enjoys cheerleading and swimming. The
eight year old enjoys playing with

friends, reading, piano and singing. Her favorite driver is Tony
Stewart. Ms. Hose was the first runner-up in the

contest last year.

First runner-up in the contest was five-year-old Danielle Wissinger of
Hagerstown, daughter of Scott and

Denise Wissinger. Third place went to six-year-old Ashley Null of
Waynesboro, PA, daughter of Marty and

Shelly Null.

The new Little Ms. Hagerstown Speedway will have a busy year ahead of
her representing the speedway
