ICEBREAKER 30 OPENER POSTPONED TO MARCH 3RD;
Wintery Mix Forces Fans & Teams to Wait One More Week

ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 2/23/2001 - Lincoln Speedway promoters Don & Bob Leiby,
and Alan Kreitzer have decided to postponed Saturday's, February 24th Ice
Breaker 30 season opener. With several inches of new snow on the ground, and
the forecast of freezing temperatures through the night, they have opted to
postpone season-opening activities until next weekend, Saturday, March 3rd
at 2 P.M.
Lincoln officials felt obligated to make a decision early Friday because
several teams, and fans from large distances away were set to come to the
Pigeon Hill's oval. With questionable weather in the forecast, the promoters
thought it would be prudent to make the call early, and try again next
weekend.
It has been decided that the entire Ice Breaker 30, $3,000-to-win super
sprint opener will be held next weekend as well. The thundercars will round
out the afternoon's racing activities.
