10th Anniversary ICE BOWL This Weekend at TST

Talladega, AL-Talladega Short Track will host the 10th Anniversary GRT Race Cars sponsored ICE BOWL this weekend. The ICE BOWL is the first major National Dirt Track racing event of the season. A record breaking field of over 300 drivers from across the United States are expected to invade the 3/10ís mile high banked clay oval with intentions of claiming the prestigious ICE BOWL Championship in their respective divisions.

Action gets underway on Saturday afternoon with ICE POLE Day activities including Super Late Model Qualifying and Super Late Model Qualifying races. All other local divisions will be in action including the Hot Chassis sponsored IMCA Modifieds and sponsored Sportsman division. All divisions will run Last Chance qualifying events and ICE BOWL Championship features on Sunday. Action starts each day at 12PM.

Defending ICE BOWL Super Late Model Champion Terry English from Benton, Kentucky and defending IMCA Modified Champion is Gene Boyter from Bossier City, LA are both expected to defend their titles. Over 70 competitors in each of the respective divisions are expected to be on hand vying for a coveted position in the 24 car starting fields and the lucrative victory.

There will also be a practice session on Friday afternoon that is open to the public. Talladega Short Track is located 1 mile east of Talladega Superspeedway on Speedway Boulevard.
