HAGERSTOWN, MD - The Hagerstown Speedway and late model driver Buck Tomblin
will be part of the 1st Annual Washington, D.C. Motorsports Expo at the
Capital Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. The Washington, D.C. Motorsports Expo
will feature three full days of motorsport related entertainment, December
8-10, with race machinery representing all facets of the sport, racing
simulators, monster truck rides, driver appearances and more. The floor of
the 107,000 square foot Capital Expo Center will be graced by racing cars
from NASCAR Winston Cup, NASCAR Busch Grand National, Indy Racing Northern
Light Series, CART FedEx Championship Series, the Sports Car Club of America
and the FIA Formula One World Championship.

The Hagerstown Speedway booth will feature one of the most popular late
model drivers at the speedway, Robert "Buck" Tomblin of Berryville, VA. The
34 year old driver finished ninth in points at Hagerstown in 2000 with four
top ten finishes including top ten finishes in the 150-lap Hub-City National
Open and the 100-lap Octoberfest season ending races. Tomblin has seven
career feature wins and 30 heat race wins. He was the 1996 Hagerstown
Speedway "Late Model Rookie of the Year". Tomblin's BRC Lazer Chassis III
that will be on display is powered by a 415 cubic inch Hershey engine and is
sponsored by Triple J Convenience Store, Tomblin's Service Center, Ron V.
Lloyd Realtor, Poe's Home Improvement, Big Daddy Detail, Clarke County
Roofing, Norton Embroidery, Rick Signs, VDO Instruments, Bill Hockenberry
Real Estate Consultant, Padula Motorsports, Berryville Lumber and Berryville
Graphics. The Forty-One Racing Group that Tomblin drivers for is owned by
Buck, Robert E. Tomblin, Ross Tomblin and Gary McDaniel. Tomblin and his wife
Kelly have one daughter, Sydney.

The Speedway invites everyone to stop by the Hagerstown Speedway booth to
meet Tomblin and the rest of the Forty-One Race team. Speedway officials will
be distributing tentative schedules for the 2001 season. Sports Plus Video of
Williamsport, MD will also be part of the Hagerstown Speedway booth.

Some of the drivers confirmed to appear include Sterling Marlin, Dave
Blaney, Sarah Fisher, Mark Dismore, Robert Pressley, Randy Tolmas, Kevin and
Wayne Grubb and Jeff Altenburg.

The Capital Expo Center is located in western Fairfax County, Virginia
near the intersection of Rt. 50 and Rt. 28, six miles south of Washington
Dulles Airport.
