SUPER DIRT SERIES ON HAGERSTOWN'S 2001 SCHEDULE
HAGERSTOWN, MD Promoter Frank Plessinger has announced that the
Super DIRT Series will be back at the Hagerstown Speedway in 2001.
"We were disappointed that we were rained out last year and unable
rescheduled the race," said Plessinger. "A lot of fans called during the
season asking if we were going to try again next year and we are pleased
we are able to include a show on our 2001 schedule. The Super DIRT
scheduled for Saturday night, March 31st with Sunday, April 1st as a
date. Race time will be 7 P.M.
Many of the drivers who race in the DIRT Series will be at
this weekend, October 28th & 29th for the Octoberfest 250. Both big
small block modifieds are on the schedule with 100-lap $10,000-to-win
events. Joining the two modified divisions will be the super sprints and
models. The super sprints will go 50-laps for $10,000-to-win and the
models feature winner will also receive $10,000 for their 100-lap event.
Race time each day is 1 P.M. with gates opening at 10 A.M.
The Hagerstown Speedway is located on U.S. Route 40, adjacent to the
Gateway Seafood Restaurant, six miles west of Hagerstown, MD. The
Seafood Restaurant is the official restaurant of the Hagerstown Speedway
where drivers and fans meet after the races. For additional information,
