Cleveland Speedway’s Night of Champions Race

The Y2K racing season will come full circle this Saturday night as awards will be presented at the Cleveland Speedway’s "Night of Champions" race . The speedway will be honoring the following competitors for their efforts this season. Cleveland Speedway Track Champion Andy Dill (# 39) of Georgetown TN will be receiving his Trophy, Custom Jacket, and a Husky Tools Garage Tool Box for being top dog in the Super Late Model division. Second in SLM Points; Dewayne Smith (# 21) of Cleveland TN will receive the runners-up trophy with (1998 track champion) Kevin Gibson (# M45) of Ringgold GA receiving the third place points plaque. Cleveland Speedway (SLM) Rookie of the Year John Owenby (# J32) of Cleveland TN will also be awarded his trophy.
Claimer Late Model Division Champion James Gamble (# 27) of Ooltewah TN will receive his trophy and jacket for being the high point man of the division. Randy Dillard (# 51) of Epworth GA and Bobby Doss (# 28) of Cleveland TN will also be presented with awards. This year Cleveland Speedway will begin honoring it’s first year late model type racecar driver with the new Novice Award for outstanding achievement. Glen Seaton III (# 92) of Cleveland TN will be the inaugural recipient of the award for his exceptional two back to back CLM feature victories.

The UMP Open Wheel Modified Champion Lynn Roark (# 21L) of Birchwood TN will be honored for his points championship, despite the divisions removal from the regular racing card back in July. Lance Johnson (# CS) of Hixson TN and Jerry Coffman (# 30) of Soddy Daisy TN will also receive awards. Hobby Champion Richard Dixon (# 3) of Cleveland TN will be honored along with Doug Works (# 35) of Cleveland TN and Stephanie Yancy (# Y7) of Soddy Daisy TN. Pony Stock Champion Justin Winters (# J1) of Benton TN will be awarded for his efforts. Todd Morrow (# T1) of Cleveland TN and Jason Spraker (# 25) of Cleveland TN. And who could forget the Street division? Champion Anthony Hawkins (# 3) of Cleveland TN along with second in points Roy Nichols (# 00) of Cleveland TN and third place recipient Will Swearengine (# R1) of Chattanooga TN will also be rewarded for their efforts.
