FULL CIRCLE: THE STORY OF DAVEY ALLISON, TELLS THE STORY OF
THE MAN HE WAS
CLOSTER, NJ OCTOBER 2, 2000 . . . The important issues in his
life and most of all the people he loved are all part of FULL
CIRCLE: THE STORY OF DAVEY ALLISON, a 237-page book just
released by Rising Star Publications, Inc. as part of their
Profiles in American Stock Car Racing series.
Loaded with many black and white photos and 16 pages of
color photos, many never seen before, the book tells the
story of Davey's auto racing career and his romance and life
with his wife, Liz, and their children, Krista and Robbie.
"Davey's wife Liz traces the life of Davey Allison the
racer, husband, father and hero to millions from the couple's
first meeting at a South Carolina dirt track in 1988 to
Davey's untimely death (in a helicopter crash at Talladega
Superspeedway ) five years later," wrote Bill France, Jr.,
NASCAR President, in a Foreward as part of this wonderful

Many feel that Davey Allison could very well have been a
NASCAR Winston Cup champion.
The book, at least three years in the making, was
authored by Liz Allison and noted motorsports journalists
David Green and Thomas Pope.
"After Davey passed away, I was overwhelmed with the
amount of cards and letters that I received. The majority of
people writing offered their condolences, but they also
wanted to know everything about Davey. They wanted to know
more about his childhood, his teen years and his personal
life. They also wanted pictures to help them deal with their
own grief, but also to hold on to the memory of Davey. I knew
that at some point I would put together a group of people to
help me tell Davey's life story," said Liz Allison.
"As *** would have it, Linda Albelli (president of
Rising Star Publications), David Green and Thomas Pope came
in to my life. The four of us finally made this come to life
in FULL CIRCLE: THE DAVEY ALLISON STORY."
