End of "Summer Sizzler Twin 35's" for Limited Late Models / Sportsman racers at North Alabama Speedway (Friday, Sept. 22nd) and Duck River Speedway (Saturday, September 23rd).

This coming Friday and Saturday night North Alabama Speedway (Friday) in Tuscumbia, Alabama and Duck River Speedway (Saturday) in Wheel, Tennessee will present the "NAPA Auto Parts / Pogues Body Shop End of Summer Sizzler Twin 35's", paying $1,200 to win and $100 to start(starting 22 racers each night). There will also be a $500 Bonus awarded to the driver who has the best two combined finishes. You do not have to win either show to win this bonus. Both shows are
seperate and independent and a driver may run one or both however you would of course need to run both in order to win the
$500 bonus. Both shows will utilize NAS Limited Late Model rules for the weekend. These rules will follow. Note:On Friday
NAS will also be running, IMCA Open Wheels (now paying $600 to win each night!), Renegades/Hot Rods/Modified Streets/Outlaw Street and Street Stocks. On Saturday night, Duck River Speedway will be also running: IMCA Open Wheels, Street Stocks, Outlaw Pony's, Pure Pony's and Rookie Pony's.

The following NAS rules will be utilized for this weekends Twin 35's
North Alabama Speedway 2000 Rules

*Body. UDTRA Type tubular chassis with 8 rear spoiler. Snout cars allowed 12" spoiler
*Engines. Chevy-350, Ford-351, Chrysler 360(all allowed .060 over bore)
steel block & heads with flat or dish type pistons. Any 4-barrell carburetor & intake manifold. Stock stroke cranks, no porting
or polishing. Roller rocker arms permitted. No Chevy 400 blocks. Stud girdles and balancing are legal
*Chassis. Any tube frame combination allowed.
Must have starter and working reverse.
*Weight. 2300 pounds
*Fuel. Gas or Alcohol legal
*Wheels. 14 inch / aluminum, steel or carbon fiber OK.
*Tires. Hoosier D-55 or LM-40, McCreary American Racer MD-56, Goodyear C-300 or 375. (11 X 92 max.)
*allowed 1 lb per lap burnoff and allowed 10 lb. Variance for scale calibration. Example: After a 35 lap feature you may weigh
as low as 2265 pounds(on scales at NAS) and be legal.
