FALL CHALLENGE AT BRITT EQUALS $10,000 PAYDAY

The Hancock County Speedway and the Minneapolis Auto Auction have teamed up to bring you the last racing event of the 2000 season at Hancock County Speedway in Britt.
The two-day Fall Challenge will be held on Friday September 15 and Saturday September 16 with hot laps at 7:00 and racing at 7:30 each night.

The Modified class will compete for $2000 to win the A feature, plus an additional $8000 Front Row Challenge, for a possible $10,000 payday. The pole qualifier has the first option of accepting the challenge, and if he accepts he moves to the back of the A feature starting lineup. If he declines, the front row outside qualifier will have the option to go for the extra $8000 bonus and if he accepts he moves to the back of the starting field. If neither of the front row qualifiers accepts, the challenge will be over. The modified feature must start 24 cars in order for the challenge to be in effect. Only one qualifier may accept the challenge.

The stock car division will compete for $1000 to win the Saturday night event and the hobby stock class is going for $500 to win. The Limited 360 Modified class has been offered their own challenge of numbers. If 20 or more cars compete the winner will take home $500. If 15 to 19 cars are here to put on a show, the winner will receive $400. With 14 or fewer cars competing, $300 goes to the winner in the limited class.

This event is a non-sanctioned show in all classes, with IMCA rules and an exchange claim. Entry fee is $75 for Mod, $40 for stock, $30 for hobby, $30 for limited mod.
Friday is qualifying with a draw for heats, heats, B features, and dashes for starting position in A main. Drivers will race for position in starting field. Qualifiers on Friday night must lock in that position for Saturday night before they leave the track on Friday night or give up position to try for a better spot on Saturday night. Draw closes at 6:30. Admission on Friday to Grandstand is $8.00 adults- $3.00 6-12 yrs.- 5 & under Free. Pit pass is $15.00.

The Hancock County Speedway is one half mile south east of Britt at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The track is a four tenth mile dirt oval with 15 degree banking in the corners.
