Due to the legal problems the Abbitt Estate is in, the Hicks family will not open
the 2000 racing season at Bayou Speedway.

Other plans are in motion but will not be in effect until a later date.

The Hicks Family encourages all drivers to build their cars for Boothill
Speedway (or for tracks closest to them). When we race again, we will accept
all cars for the tracks in which they were built.

We thank all drivers and spectators for their patronage and support of Bayou
Speedway. The web site will be updated regularly and the message board will
remain.

THE HICKS FAMILY WILL RETURN TO RACING

This notice will appear on the web site after the New Year comes in.

Thank you for your patience. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sure hate that yall aren't running in 2000. We were sure looking forward to running at Bayou. Hopefully things will be resolved soon and we can go back to racing! Please keep us updated.

Thanks Gator28.

As for returning, I can't disclose the plans right now. Just know that we are working on something that won't happen for 2000 but it's possible 2001.
