its iffy, a few guys put way to much into their cars for the class, with the same guys winning every week it lost popularity. We have new rules that should change that this year, but I still say they need to put a claim on the class.

I was just wanting to get a idea are track canceled them this year and the fans loved them now the few of us that are still there will be running with the hobby stocks so i think the fans are going to like that even more. Nothing better than watching a V-8 getting spanked by a 4 banger. Thank guys for the info

My son runs at Thunderhill Speedway north of Topeka Ks. There has been talk about not running them, but I think it was just rumor.
I think it is a perfect class to start out in, the only thing is, you can sure get some money rapped up in one of them. But when did that ever stop any of us? Gives the wife something complain about. I love it.

Our fans LOVE the mini-stock (called mini-mod now) class. With almost 30 cars a week and lots of action, I see why! Supposedly, we have 40 U-Cars that have reserved numbers already this year.

We have about 8 cars running every week. But the fans usually use the time we race to run to the bathroom or get more beer. I think the reason is that it is always the same two guys winning each week. We have pretty strict rules in our class about what we can and cannot do. But that doesnt matter much when our cars are not inspected. The only rule enforced in my class is the weight minimum. This year they added a few rules but ummmm... I hope they plan on enforcing them. The one rule I DO like though, is after 3 wins you gotta add 100 pounds to your car and 50 pounds for each win thereafter. Since they DO enforce the weight rules that might help out a little.

Thats sounds like a good idea my ministock class pretty much has no rules yeah they are there but they never enforced them the one thing we didnt have was a weight rule you can really make them things light.

We have a mini also and they usually run them at then end of the night so either the fans are tired and ready to go home or just to cold to stay, The stands pretty much empty out when ours race. We have about 8 to 10 a week.

at the southern oregon speed way in medford OR we had mini's last year with a 1000 dollar claim we had the same 5 or 6 car's up front every week so this year they took tose car's and put them with the 4 cyc. turck and called the class super 4's with only a couple rules that realy restricked us from going all the way. we are hoping it will get just a little more wild next year with dry-sumps and the hole bit. we have all aluminum bodys 13" tires 2600 cc limit no weight limit and a couple other little rules but for the most part it is a kick *** class we turn faster lap times then the prostock at our track.

MINI STOCK AT MY TRACK IS BIG, AROUND 30-40 CARS EVERY RACE NIGHT. BUT AS OTHERS HAVE SAID, THE SAME FEW CARS WIN WEEK OUT AND WEEK IN. I KNOW THEY HAVE THOUSAND(S) IN THERE ENGINES (NOT A STOCK ENGINE) SO I WENT W/ THE OLD SANE "CAN'T BEAT THEM-JOIN THEM) I RUN A 84 M-STANG 2.3, THIS YEAR I HAD MY HEAD SHAVED .145, LONG 5.7" CEVY RODS, KB PISTONS(.030) NEW BLOCK, ABOUT $1600 DOING IT MY SELF AND I'M STILL HAVING **** KEEPING UP--ATLEAST I'M IN THE MIDDLE NOW, LAST YR I WAS AT THE BOTTOM (FIRST YEAR). ANYWAY IF YOU LOOK AT MY RULES YOU'LL SEE $200 CLAIM (NEVER SEEN IT HAPPEN) ALSO THE SCALES NEVER WORKED (UNTIL LAST WEEK--THAT BROUGHT THE CINDABLOCKS OUT) I KNOW SOME OF THOSE CARS ARE WAY UNDER 2000LBS, THAT RULE ABOUT ADDING WIEGHT EH WEEK LOOKS GREAT--WISH MY TRACK WOULD DO SOMETHING TO EVEN THE ODD's. WELL GOTA RUN, IT'S FRI GOTTA GET THE CAR READY TO GO FOR SAT
