I've got a 76 pinto that had a Mustang rear end installed before I bought it. The right spring shackles angle back, instead hanging straight down like the left side. The right side of rear end sets 1" to 1 1/2" farther back than the left. Using stock springs. This problem has gotten worse over last few races. Would a new spring on the right fix this problem.

Make sure the tie bolt in the spring which locates the axle on the spring has not been sheared off. It also possible someone set the car up with different length springs as a crutch to cure some handling problem. SLEEPY
