Hey all need a little advice. I am having trouble with my right rear coming around on me off the corners. I was running 215 60 14 on LF, LR, RR and a 225 60 14 on RF. 1 in backspace all the way around. running rf air pressure of 20, RR 18, lf 18, lr 16 during feature. I have switched setup to 215 60 15 LF & LR. 225 RF, 235 RR. Will this help me get the car to stop spinning so much off the corner? I also saw on here to run 18 pounds on right side and 16 on left. Will this help. Oh ya the left side wheels have a 3 in backspace right wheels have 1 in. Any suggestings will greatly be appreciated. we running 3/8 mile slightly banked clay oval.
Thanks

Switch the backspacing on the back wheels is what I would do I would keep the tires like you have them now though. I would also suggest checking the rollout on each tire and write ;it down for quick reference. This would help greatly so if this does not help we can guide you with more accuracy. BObby

first thing i would do is find someone with scales to find out what you need, but you are too light in the assend try to add weight to the r/r and the center of the rear axel sounds wrong but i had the same problem after scailing my car we added 270 pounds and now it stickes and all power is felt my car is very fast this way. you realy need to find scales to know were and how much weight to use.

Thanks for the advice skull, however, we cant use weights. Wish we could. I tried b4 suggestion its seems to have helped. However, I broke something in the rearend. The wheels are trying to lock up on me as I go. Just seems to be catching. A fellow racer said I may have broken the ring and pinion gear or maybe a broken axle. I am going to pull the axle and third member today to see what went wrong.
Thanks for all the help,

try spring rubbers in the left rear spring if you have coils,a stiffer sway bar or preloading the sway bar you have.the 235 on the rr will make your problem worse as it will open up your stagger and lower your crossweight percentage.hope this helps.

you run 16 and 18 pounds? wow, I never get mine above 15, in the heats I run 10 LR, 11 RR, 13 RF & LF. And I up it a pound or two for the trophy, and probably keep it the same for the mains. I ran 17 lbs in my fronts once, while 14 LR 15 RR, and I was all over the place. The announcer had a blast commenting on my driving skills. I drove so bad, that it took me 3 laps to get back in my position during a yellow flag, HA!! by the way, if you cant use weights... you can just throw some of the extra race track stuck to the side of your car, in some very deliberate places...
