Is there a D port intake that came on a 2.3 ford that is carburator compatible. I recently aquired a D port head that is built but the oval ports on my intake manifold is not matching well at all. The D port came off a fuel injected model and I didnt know if it came on a specific year of carb model.
Thanks for any advice.

yes there is but from what I have heard is to buy an adapter and use the fuel injected intake. Most of the 2.3 from around 81-84 I believe was d-port what If that had a efi head then it is prob. a closed chamber it will not flow as good as the earlier d-ports but you will have a lot more compression Bobby

Hey trapper, call me at 863-607-5071 and I'll explain how to make a D-port manifold out of an oval port. Simple and cheap. J-B Weld and masking tape. SLEEPY

early model d ports around 85-88 will work bolt straight up to your carb.the later model efi intake will require a carb adapter.the most important is the runner length between the two.you should consider your camshaft duration and lobe centers. Mark-fast forward racing engines

I found one on a capri. It was a one barrell carb mounted on it but it was a d port intake. It is working great.BTW I think it was an 82 but not sure.
