I pretty new to this mini-stock stuff. I would like to know if using the later model 2.3 pistons is a good idea. According to the book the comp. is a little higher and it is a hypereutectic vs. cast piston. It also uses metric rings. The cost is a little higher for both pistons and rings, but not too bad. Where I'm going to race a high dollar engine isn't logical. I think they have a .020 higher comp. ht. Will that give me any problems or will it be a benefit.
Thanks for the help...Mike

all the engine builders that I have talked to said they would not run a hyper pistons if they had them gave to them. They are cheaper in the short run but if one goes most likely it will take your whole block with it. JD Laramee told me he would run cast before he ran hyper. Bobby
