A local track in my area has a mini-stock class and was wondering what is a good car to start in and what amount of money I should spend on it?

I think a lot would depend on if you plan to move in to a bigger class (bomber/SS/Mod...). FWD is fun to drive and they are very fast, but they are totally different to drive than Rear Wheelers... So I would think that you need to decide that first! Just a thought.... Speeronline

Of course the amount you spend will be based on the track's rules and what you can and cannot do to the cars, as well as how badly you want to win.

Wow... it is true that it depends on what your track rules are. At my track there are no rules (enforced), except compact car, four banger, safety and weight. They even allow turbochargers, fuel injection, and computers starting next season. Crazy. But I have seen some track's rules that are strictly stock. I would love that here.
