i am looking for a spool that will fit a ford 7.5 rear end. so far i have had no luck in finding one. am i going to have to switch to a 8.8 to use a spool. also i am wondering if i would be loosing any recip. weight by going to an 8.8 with a spool or just welding the 7.5 any feedback would be apreciated.
thanks, russ

Russ, we are in the same boat as you as far as the spool question goes but we have the puny 6.75 rear. Parts availibility for the 8.8 is pretty good so thats the way we will probably go. JPR

just weld it solid. it works just as good as a spool and dont cost you a thing

i run a 8.8 rear i have several diff types .
if you run a small track you may think twice
becouse it will be hard to find the right gear but a 3/8 or 1/2 mile track would be ok
355 rearends are commen.
try a 8 inch or 9inch???
