If you run a mini-stock on dirt and use IMCA American Racer tires, what air pressure do you keep in each tire?

Do a search in this forum on tire pressures. It's going to vary with vehicle weight, weather your running tubes, etc.. Personally, I wouldn't use the IMCA tires. Smaller wheels and tires work fine and = less unsprung weight.

I viewed all of the previous posts on this subject before I posted this one. None of the replies dealt specificly with the IMCA tires. My truck weighs about 2700 and I don't use tubes. I can't find a maximum pressure listed on the tires anywhere, so I don't really even have a starting point. I had one changed out at a tire shop and the guy asked if I wanted 20 pounds in it. I have been told as low as 10. I was hoping to hear from several people on what they run in theirs, just for a point of reference.

I have no experience with them, so you may want to keep looking until you find someone that does, but I would think 20 psi would be a good starting point. Left sides will take a little less, and if you roll off a right side, I would go up a little on that tire.

I run around 10-14 lbs on the right side and 8-11 lbs on the left on my IMCA Modified. But that is with tubes everywhere but the RR that's on a beadlock. If your not going to run tubes I would suggest 15 lbs on the right and around 13 on the left.

Why are you running these tires though? Are they someones free takeoffs? I would personally run Cooper Cobras or Diamond Back recaps if your buying new.

AJ what tires are you talking about? The American Racers I have to run on my IMCA mod are $92 each. When I was running the Diamond Backs on a 4 cyl. they were around $55 each.

I RUN C/C FROM FNT LEFT, 10LBS, 12LBS, 13LBS, 15LBS(FNT RIGHT).
I'LL ADD A COUPLE (2) LBS PER TIRE IF ITS A EARLY HEAT AND THE TRACK IF STILL REAL WET. BUT ONCE IT "DRY SLICK" THATS THE WAY TO GO.
