Go with an ULTRAMAX or a BANSHEE chassis. Those to are very good chassis for any class.

If you are going with an Ultramax go with the proforce.

Do you know anything about a 96 phantom stalker?

Jammin,

If the Stalker is an off-set chassis then it will be okay for your young child.....but it isn't then you need to find something with an off-set chassis so he can hang with the crownd......I do know that the Stalkers were one of the top chassis's back in 1996 and 1997.

Thanks a million for the input. I want to get something that he can be competitive in. I think this might be a good kart to start him out in.

jammin if you have not got a car for your child yet try going to www.quartermidgets.com
my 6yr old has a ball and dont let anyone tell you they are expensive cause they cost the same as a ikf cart iknow! also they wear
seat belts
arm restraints
neck brace
cloves
firesuit
its alot easier to get this by the other half
also because they are safer!
just thought i would put a bug in your head check it out go to a midget race and then go to a cart race that will really help you decide. see ya.

The problem with that is, there are not very many tracks in this area that run them.....More karts than anything.

My son starts racing next year, and I was wondering if the Coyote's are still a good Kart. I ran one a long.... time ago when I started, and it was fast.

I think any of the major kart builders like Ultramax, Phantom, Shadow, Buller, CKI, etc. would be a safe bet. They're pretty much proven to be competitive around the country. The Stalker would probablty be a good kart to start out in. What class will he be running in? Dirt or asphalt? How old is he?

He will be 7 in Jan. I plan on running him on small dirt ovals in purple plate. Where can I find info on the Stalker chassis you are talking about? I need all the help I can get. I've owned dirt late models for 5 yrs. Karting is completely different than when I ran.

Thanks

If you're interested in a Phantom chassis (who builds the Stalker), you might try e-mailing them at phantomemail@ctc.net. I'm sure they have another website address but for now this was all I could find. There's a HUGE difference between karts and stock cars, I've raced karts for about four years, and I've driven a stock car a couple times in bewtween. If there's any way I can help you feel free to ask for more info.

as for a stalker chassis that a super stock type chassis for what you want an ultra max is a good bet or a twister, legend ss,or a banshee we have has that ikf nationals here 2 of the last 3 years and they are always up front i would shy away form any buller or maxum chassis they are set up more for the super stock and 2 cylce stuff alot of guys have a bad push in them with a 4 cycle if you want some more kart info www.4cylce.com is an excelent page for tech and forums check it out
