hey yall, im trying to get into karting and i would like to know what to look for in a used kart and what to steer away from. thanks

Depends on what kind of racing.Oval track I prefer an offset kart.Offset meaning the left rear tire sets in.If you look at the kart the left frame rail makes a bend inward.The suggestion I would have is to buy one for sale that has run at the track you are wanting to run at and that is running good that night.Some guys wont sell there good engine on the kart.Go to the track make friends and the rest will come.Just take a look at the over all condition of the kart.It is best to find someone getting out that will help you get in to the sport.Hope this helps.And remember if it is real cheap it probably means it is bent or slow.
