How wide does the frame in the rear need to be for a live axle setup?

Jammin, did you get the email I sent last week? My computer blew up and I lost all my hard drive stuff......and it's still not running right..........
I will give one comment on the width.....these are the pick-up points on a kart.. (with no adjustment of suspension these are critical)........with the motor on the right side you are stuck with where the right rear casset will be located........You can move the left rear bearing casset inboard to help create more flex in the chassis .......big time builders have a standard kart......well if my daughter only weight in at 70 pounds and sits on the left side, and your son weight in at 120 pounds I will need to add lead to make scale.......but I can put the lead where I want........then build more flex into the chassis.........Just some thoughts.....
Let me know about the email.......I lost what I would have sent you anyway......But I'm sure I could find it agian.......Jeff

I appreciate it Jeff. I did get your email. I am just trying to take a look and learn more about these things....been in cars all my life, a little different with briggs and chains...LOL. We have a practice track laid out for my son and I am trying to get him something together that he can tear up first before I put him in the real deal.
