I am about ready to start spending for my new engine. 351c .20 over 12.5-1 comp. I am looking for any tips that may help. I am using 2v heads for now and can`t run any roller stuff. Intake is stock and am limited to a 2bbl. I am going to use oil restictors and have everything balanced. Rpm should be 7000. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

You might want to check into a 347 or a 392 there both lighter and can be built for reasonable amount of greenbacks.

posted May 06, 2003 11:30 PM I ran a 351c for about 3 years back in stock car days befor are track had mods. First if i remember DO NOT use the restrictors i ended up eating gears off the dist about every other week...we did fix it by drilling a small hole in the plug that is in the block behind the dist(maybe 1/8) The one thing that we also did was run a oil line from the back of the block down to feed the crank...if i remember it went in down by the fuel pump but its been a while, i do know it went right to a oil passage for the bottom end. The motor we had was 12.5 to 1 fully ported heads with 4v valves turned down to a 2.08 for the 2 v heads it made tons of hp... im sure there are some guys on here that could help more or shoot holes it what i have said...those are just things we did to make it live!
