what I have going on is when I nail it it flutters for a bit then its clesrs up.Last years I put a wiend stealth dual plane on and the problem started I put a 1/2 inch 4 hole spacer on and it cured it.I thought it had something to due with valve overlap because it appeared to be trying to spit back through the carb when it was first cracked open. If you lean into it slowly theres no problem. Can the rockers be adjusted to change this? I have a 1" open spacer that I used on the stock intake that I can try. Also off season changes where heads milled about 12 to 1 now and changed from a 2.5 inch x exhaust to a 3" in 4" out y merge collector. Oh yea 347 ford, holley 650 dp 5.0 power valve jets 70 front 80 rear squirter.031 front .028 rear. The carb seems to be fine plugs look good .Was told larger spacer would increase vacum signal.

hmmm, are you running a hydraulic cam? if you are and have an adjustable valvetrain, try running about .002" lash. it sounds like the valves may not be adjusted correctly. putting a little lash in a hydraulic will ensure the lifters don't "pump up" and keep the valves from seating. it will get the car off the corners quicker too.

okay, maybe the primary squirter is too big. it could be a number of things...kinda hard to tell with a keyboard.

if the 1/2" 4-hole spacer cures it, why not leave it on?

Sounds accelerator pump related, maybe a bigger squirter in the rear? Also cam on pump can be changed to help.

The 4 hole was good last year but I raised the comp. and have a different exhaust so for some reason it has returned on me.I can deal with it for now ,maybe it will be better to have a little less off the corner when the track is dry and slick.

Just got off the phone with isky and they said add about 8 " on the exhaust system .He seemed to think the exhaust was to restrictive which made me think last year at the end of the season when it was running best it had headers on it.Adding on the collector is something cheap to try.I use a 5 power valve because it pulls 7" of vacum at a idle I think Holley recomends 1.5" - 2" below idle reading.
