Never heard of a 350 direct driver.

I have seen some direct drive powerglides though.

I've always thought of taking the pump drive and stator out of a converter and making one for a 350 but it will turn 6 or 7000rpm and trying to get it perfect will be next to impossible.A dummy converter would be better.

I had talked to TCI about this a while back - they make a direct drive coupler for the powerglide that has been retrofitted with a TH350 sized shaft. While they haven't seen it done they said the coupler would work just fine in a TH350. Simply drill and tap the front pump like a powerglide and run it... Let me know if it works - I'll be building one for a "factory stock" this fall and would be interested in using this trick...
