What is the min. piston to head clearance that is normaly used or used with out a problem. I can get .035 but thats about the best I can get with out going to like .050. Srp forged domed pistons, 6.0 crower sprotsman rods, 3.48 stroke turning about 7300rpms. Thanks alot josh K

.035" is minimum with a piston that run's tight in the bore , like your SRP .

It depends on how old they are . If they are a set that have been made in the last 2 year's , they will run .0025"-.004" . Your best shot would be to call JE with your piston part number , and ask them what the recommended clearance is . The SRP's vary a bit from piston part number to piston part number on clearance .
