I need help with a motor I bought. It has .250 dome pistons and my 64 cc heads that have been milled . 100 raisen eighth inch when I turn my motor over. Is it going to do me any good to change heads get a thicker headgasket, and index my plugs. 72 cc heads? Help me out I have the sb built and need to get some heads on it so I can race this weekend.

DMS That was a bit hard to decifer. Is your pistons hitting the head?? IF so thicker head gaskets might help but I would clay EVERY cyclinder. else Go digging around an old machine shop today and start asking about some 487 heads. Try to get the X heads. You may get lucky and find a set of 441 heads. If not go with the 882's.

i have a set of 882's if you need some they have been seeting up for 1 year but still in good shape no crack. $100.00

I have one 441 head casting it's 74 cc and supposed to be the best flowing big chamber head gm made older style with gasketed plugs,only have one tho,also have one 993.

we've used em as thick as .120 to meet rules...and every thickness it's taken to "adjust" squeeze from 12.0 down to 9.0 for track to track rules changes....Rascal
