I have an alky engine that I prime with gas to get it started cold. The problem is; it can still be hard to start when it is warm. Not good when it is time to leaving the staging area to go onto the track.

Question: Does anyone have any experience in plumbing a gas line into the carb or manifold so I can prime it from the drivers seat?

That sounds too dangerous,i'd try a simple clear line ran back to the drivers compartment from the air cleaner with a plug for the end, then when it doesn't start you can hit it with a small shot of either, but you have a problem somewhere fixing the problem would be better,BTW that's an old demolition derby trick.

Pickles... if the car is hard to start warm I would try and fix that problem first before I would carry gasoline or starting fluid in the cockpit with me. My car used to be a bear to start when I used a mallory unilight, switched to MSD and starts like a champ warm or cold.
