Hey guys, where's the best or at least a good starting location for connecting my exhaust pipes with a balancing tube? You know, the type people call an "H" pipe. It's on a Street Stock car with a flat top 350, two barrell, and Thorley Tri-Y headers. The headers end in a 2 1/2" collector and I've currently got the same diameter towards the rear of the car from there. Would it be beneficial to just join them somewhere with an H-tube?
Thanks

Spray the exh. pipe with a rattle can and whare the paint stops burning off, that is where you put the pipe. Hope this helps.

I was under the belief that the H-pipe went about a foot or so of the header collector, the the muffler, then paint the tail paint and cut it where the paint stops burning off.

I was under the assumption that the paint trick was were to end the exhaust not add a h-pipe?
Is this true?

Dirtracer, sorry for being dumb, but I'm doing my exhaust right now and would like to know too. "They" who is they? And they recommend what to be close to the engine? The Y collector or the H pipe?

Thanks for the help,
Randy
