I am interested in buying a set of heads from a guy but casting #186. Only I found three bosses where the ***** in studs go that are cracked. Is this ok or should a stay away from heads?

Thanks

are they the end ones??

they can leak water if not repaired.

they can be repaired by welding, with correct rod, and lots of preheat.

i have had one crack and just jb welded the crack, to prevent the water leak, it was a emergency deal on race day. it is still working fine, though i run stud girdles so that makes me feel better also.

ITS A FINE HEAD, NOT COMPLETELY A CLOSED CHAMBER

IVE NEVER SEEN THEM CRACK ANYWHERE BUT THE END ROCKER STUDS, HOW CHEAP ARE THEY, ARE THE VALVES DEEP IN THE HEAD??

SOUNDS LIKE I WOULDNT TAKE THEM UNLESS THEY ARE UNDER 200 BUCKS AND READY TO USE AS IS FOR A WHILE....
