I'am building a 355 with (1182)stock steel crank,6 inch rods, srp 12.7 piston and is balanced. My question is which heads should i use,i have 2 set of 64cc dart iron eagles 1 set has 230 runners and the other set are 200cc runners.I will be using a roller cam and not sure on the specs but would like to get the heads done asap. Also what rpm do you think this bottom end is safe to run at???I was thinking around 7200

I would run the 200cc heads, the 230's are usually for bigger motors,or one's turning a lot of rpm's.You should be able to turn it 7500-7800 fairly easy, the only thing i'd worry about is the factory steel crank, they seem to crack and fail when raced,in my experience.

I would choose the 200cc heads runner same reason as Rico. Regarding the crank I have a rule never turn a stock cast crank over 7200 rpm. I have never had issues when staying at the 7200 mark. If you feel you need more I would look into a better crank.
my 2 cents
