Less than a year ago a friend put some coated Hooker headers on his street car (Impala SS). He doesn't drive it that often, so the car is parked the majority of the time in the garage, out of inclimate weather. What he's concerned with is the headers are already starting to pit. Is that normal? If not, what can be done to prevent it? Should he use someone else's header? Maybe a different coating method? Or what?

Thanks all

The coating on the headers should never pit or flake off EVER!!! Tell him to take them back to where he bought them, or call hooker about waranteeing them.
