If you could run any 2 barrel.....what would you run? No restrictions.....rules simply say 2 barrel carb!!! If you have names& numbers for contacts if would be appreciated.

i believe holley makes a 650 cfm 2 bbl. not sure of the part number though. it will be expensive.

In terms of sheer SIZE, yes, C$S probably has made the largest based on the 4412, but it's such a hybrid that IMHO, it's overkill for 90% of all oval track motors.
It's only outdone by a split Dominator, where 2.25" butterflies are possible. Again, bigger is not always better.
There are many carbs made that are not quite such large "toilets" and therefore retain that same crisp throttle response that is what makes a real winner.
A radically modified 2bbl putting out somewhere in the range of 700cfm is plenty for most uses on the typical short tracks.
Of course, a 2bbl superspeedway application would require something totally different.

The above post mentioning the 650cfm Holley 2bbl is referring to the model 6425. It was a drag racing application Holley came up with in the 70's that didn't last long. It was made for wide open applications (drag) and for that it did fairly well. It is NOT known for any throttle response quality at all.
