oh man I got some bad news today from machine shop. I took my stock heads 993 that was running fine, turns out they are both cracked on the bottom of the 2 center exaust valve pocket! It has never been run hot. Machine shop says because it was run hard and not hot anyone every here of this. I took him a set of 336 heads are they any good?

I'm not an expert but remember these parts go thru a lot of heat cycles andI would think that it is possible just be glad it was found before you did all the work and did more damage

993's are a good casting for later model heads if they we're cracked it's an exception rather than the rule unlike 882's and 624's.

couldn't you weld them up then regrind the seat?

not worth it when u can find them everywhere for cheap.
