I have an intake with the following embossed on it: casting #3973460 and it has an "S" embossed near where they embossed the firing order 1st time I've used embossed in a sentence 3 times). I'm wondering if anyone knows anything aboout this intake and if it would be a good one for a motor built under the rules listed below?

Claimer class in SE TX known as "Limited Modified". Engine rule(in part):
360 cubic inch max. Zero deck height. 10:1 four valve relief silverlite cast pistons only. Open chamber cylinder heads 76' or later. 450 max lift hydraulic cam. 1.5 long slot steel rocker arms. No roller tips. No bronze bushings in lifter bore or custom lifters (stock type hydraulic lifters only). *s*crew* in studs and guide plates allowed. 120lb stock dia springs max, stainless valves 1.94 intake & 1.50 exhaust. No angle mill. Steel timing chain. Stock crank and rods. No 6" rods in GM motors. A.R.P Rod, crank and head bolts and studs are allowed. Claimer oil pan & maximum fluid damper allowed. Cast iron water pumps only. Cast iron intakes 76" or later only.

Appreciate the assistance.

"S" or "R" code intakes are the better ones made by gm. I don't think they ever made one with a egr valve the meet the "1976 or later" rule. If you can slip it by get a bowtie or marine intake (z28) intake or drop the buck at brezinski $600.
