***** ins and use arp brand for strength. have machine shop mill for ***** ins and guide plates so you will not have any clearance problems

I agree spanky. I would use 7/16 studs when I have them installed.

the extra money you spend on the ***** in studs is well worth it. pining a stud just isn't as good.

check with crane. they have a tool to mill the heads for ***** in studs and you don't have to take them to a machine shop. just put this little gizmo in your drill and it takes the right amount off and at the right angle and bottoms out when its done. it has a long stem that fits in the stud hole to keep it straight. I saw one in a catalog at a parts store.
