i have a set of 305 heads that have been ported and polished and a set of 300 horse heads .wich would be better with a holley 500 on a bow tie intake with headers on a
1\4 to 3\8 mile track

#1-How do you know they're 300 horse heads? Alot depends on the average track condition, cam selection, carb builder, blah, blah, blah.... too many variables, not enuff info. Need more data.....

i would use the 300 hp heads assuming they are 64cc hump heads. i run them with 2.02-1.60 valves and speed pro hyper flat tops with a crane .537 solid lift cam and headers and a highly tuned 50 cc pump, 500 holly on a single plane intake and it is one mean sucker coming out of the corners and on top end on staights. I run in second (saginaw) with a 4.56 9" ford posi rear
