the guy that sells racing fuel at our local track buys aviation fuel and adds something to it to change the color and smell. i was wondering what it was that he adds to it and does it need any type of lubricant added.

Here is a wholesale dealer for all sorts of racing fuels including pure racing methanol. He does supply all of the midwest and south-central states. Best prices available too!!

Dan Wall 800-769-7582 http://www.fuelsforracing.com

Website is down for renewal...

These are products made by Koch Oil Company specifically for race cars and not airplanes.

Ask about his "$10.dollar coupons".
Regards,
Gerry

thanks for the hook up, but we are going to buy the aviation fuel ourselves from the same supplyer and was wondering if he was putting anything special in it.

we always use mystery oil or sea foam in ours for upper end lube they also make fuel scents that help hide the smell that has lube too but it's pretty exspencive

An old mix we used to make was 25 gal av gas, 25 gal premium and 5 gal toluene. I wouldn't recommend it because its safer to spend a few extra bucks and buy race gas.
