I have a buddy of mine that owns a braswell alky carb, on his the throttle linkage is a 1:1 linkage where the primaries and secondaries open at the same time, he bougt the braswell used, and i was wondering if all the braswells come with the linkage like that or if some one put it on after they bought it. Any help would be appreciated

It can be ordered either way, with the 1:1 linkage, progessive linkage, or stock linkage, depending on the application and what the builder deemed necessary.
My guess is that it was originally ordered that way.
We install 1:1 setups for customers all the time, when requested. The shafts are available separately too, if one wishes to retrofit them into their own carb, or we can install them cheaply for you.
Hope that helps. Many carb builders will use them in cases where full bursts of power are not so detrimental to the car's traction as it is with hard mod tires on a dryslick track.
In those cases, a progressive linkage or even going with a vacuum secondary carb is a benefit. It tends to temper that burst of power and help the drive maintain traction off the corners.
