Haven't put one in a Chevy, but it works rather nicely in a .030 over 351W with 6.2" rods. Pistons cost a good penny, but at that point, so does everything else.
Awesome big ol' Ford motor that was....

I doubt it would fit, even with a small circle cam. I would think that there wouldn't be any oil pan rail left. Would work in a rocket block though.

KP, i have a buddy with a 4.10" stroke 351W. he uses a 6.250" rod with the 5.310" rodded 347 stroker piston. he said there was very little clearancing that had to be done to the bottom of the bores and like most ford strokers, he had to remove the little piece with a hole in it next to the oil pump.

This one we did had no clearance issues at all, with the 4" stroke, 4.030 bore, 6.2" Carrillo rods, and custom Ross pistons. N heads built full tilt, and a super victor intake.
We even went so far as to convert it to internally balanced. Won't do THAT again! LOL. Too much tungsten involved...

Anyway, motors like that make good power but aren't the best combo for a 2bbl rule...I'd build another any day for a 4bbl long track motor, tho.
