ive heard that a 350 and 305 crank are the same bu the 305 crank is lighter is this true and if it is would it be smart to put it in a 350 for less rotating weight thanks

no the counterweights on a 305 have less metal(the big hole in it) because the pistons are smaller if u think about it that's what the counterweights are for to counteract the weight if the piston and rod on the other-end,lighter pistons lighter counterweight ok to swap out on a regular engine but not on a race engine without balancing(that may give you're engine guy fits)some guys will say it's ok but i don't recommend it.
