hey guys, my brother has been running pure stock and is moving to street stock and needs a a lot more power, the only motor we have is my old mod motor and it is about 12.5 to 1 compression. we have a big aluminum radiator in it, do u guys think the motor will run hot on gas, its always been run on alky?? going to run turbo blue. need to know quick. thanks

go to the stewart water pumps web site and follow all of their recomendations and you shouldnt have a problem.

in addition to the aftermarket water pump, i'd use a racing radiator cap with 28-32 psi., 30% anti freeze and some type of "clinging" additive like water wetter or royal purple is helpful. i run gasoline in my 393 stroker with the 351N heads, notorious for running hot, and it gets to about 220 on a hot night. a fan shroud is an absolute necessity as well. it will help keep the engine cool during cautions.
