Trying to decide on a crank for the new modified engine. Never built a 383 before. What kind of luck have you guys had with the Eagle 4340 or Scat 9000 series? Or just a new cast steel piece? (6" 4340 rods and Wiseco pistons with Iron Eagle heads) 1/4 - 3/8 tacky early to medium slick later. Thanks for any input.

definitley get the 4340.. the scat 9000 might hold up but in that engine if you plan to turn any rpms at all the 4340 is good insurance that it will stay together. A little extra for the crank now is cheaper than a new motor later.
